FULTON COUNTY

Probate Court Location: North Fulton Annex
Room 225
7741 Roswell Rd
Atlanta

The info and steps required for my new Fulton county CCW permit were pretty much exactly what is listed here: The only difference is that you are able to go to the North Fulton Annex building on Roswell Road instead of having to go all the way down town to the probate court.

Everything can be completed (other than getting the money order) at the North Fulton Annex. Went to room 225 to fill out the forms, fingerprinting took place right downstairs at the Police station. Took maybe an hour total. There was almost no wait to fill out the paperwork, no wait at all get fingerprinted.

The wait time for delivery was somewhere between 4 and 5 months (applied the first week of March, permit arrived mid July).

Everything on the web site is correct and proved accurate other than the additional location that I could go to. (of course I have no idea about the accuracy of that info if one was to go to the probate office downtown) I would suggest to anyone going for the first time to call them at (404) 730-4692 before going. That was how I found out about the Annex building option and I believe that they mentioned more than one Annex.

I hope this helps!

--------------SECOND EXPERIENCE-----------
Hi. I found your site and I'm glad to see there is a GA organization dedicated to protecting and promoting GA's concealed carry laws. I proudly carry my permit and my Glock 30 when legal. Actually, I recently acquired my FL permit as well. I thought you'd like to know some info on obtaining a permit through Fulton Co., although the website pretty much describes everything.

Web Site

I actually went through the Probate Court in South Fulton County (same place as South Precinct for Fulton County Police). It's located at:

5600 Stonewall Tell Rd, College Park, GA 30349, 770-306-3005

I simply walked into the clerk's office and filled out my application. The total cost is $48, $24 for the GBI fingerprint check and $24 for FBI. I believed I used 2 separate money orders. She then handed me 2 fingerprint cards and I went downstairs to get fingerprinted by the police. I turned those back it. I received my permit 4 months later.

Total funds needed to complete: $48.00
