I paid with cash, not sure what all funds are accepted. Tyeshe in the probate court office took some info along with my $15 and began my application. After I signed and answered no to all of the questions about whether or not I'm disqualified, she gave me fingerprint cards and a note explaining that the Sheriff's office will want a money order for $24 made out to G.C.I.C Issued at permit application, probate court. The jail, first time apllicants go to window in jail reception area and wait for an officer. They are only open for prints Monday - Thursday 3:30 - 5:30 I waited 45 minutes...they're unbelievably slow. Probate court office worker was friendly, professional and quick. Jail receptionist was abrupt, stupid and slow.
