Take I-75 South to exit 71, turn left then travel approximately 4.5 miles into the McDonough Square. The courthouse sits right off the square, the Probate Office is located directly behind the main courthouse.

To receive a firearm permit, you need to show proof of residency in Henry County.

The cost for a new application is $15 plus a $24 money order payable to GBI.

Renewals are $20.

To complete the application, please come to the Probate Office

Once you have applied for the license you must drive over to the county jail which is about 3-4 miles from the courthouse and get fingerprinted. My wife and I both have permits and the whole process was fairly easy. Time for waiting for the permit was about 7 weeks for mine and about 6 weeks for my wifes.
